About Middletown Pulse
Middletown Pulse is a free weekly newsletter for Greater Middletown, Connecticut. Every Thursday morning we send the best events, local news, and honest guides to the food, drink, and things to do across Middletown, Cromwell, and Portland. Made by someone who actually lives here, between the river and Route 9.
Who makes it
I'm Erik Hernal, the founder and editor. Middletown Pulse started from a simple problem: the best stuff happening around here is scattered across a dozen calendars, half of them out of date, and a town this good deserves one honest, current read. So every Thursday we round up what's actually worth your weekend, and we keep a growing set of local guides where every spot gets checked before it goes in. No corporate template, no out-of-town listicles. Just a sharp local read for Greater Middletown.
What you get
One email, every Thursday morning, free. The events worth your weekend, the local news worth knowing, and the honest guides: the best restaurants and coffee shops, where to drink craft beer, things to do with kids, a 48-hour weekend itinerary, and more. You can browse what's on this week on our events page or read past issues any time.
Check your inbox for a welcome, hit reply with a quick "Yes" so it lands in Primary. First issue Thursday morning.
Featured a local business? Got a tip?
If you run a spot around Middletown, Cromwell, or Portland and want to be on our radar, or you've got an event or a story we should know about, just reply to any Thursday issue. It comes straight to me. We cover the towns between the river and Route 9, and we're always looking for what we missed.
